The 32mm pop-up waste you received fits both 32mm and 40mm pipes. Use it without the adapter for 32mm pipes, and with the adapter for 40mm pipes. Try removing the adapter for your 32mm pipe.

2. Orders outside of Sydney Metro area will incur an additional fee (based on distance and weight) and are at risk of damage.
